An unforgettable adventure with social impact!
When I booked my trip to Tanzania with Luwai, I had a few (perhaps unrealistic) expectations: seeing the Big Five during the trip, staying in beautiful lodges, connecting with the local community, and having some adventure. All experiences exceeded my expectations.The itinerary, which included Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater, and the Serengeti, was flawlessly organized (including a champagne picnic in the middle of the wild) and we stayed in excellent lodges. Our guide Silas was an exceptional spotter. He could spot rare animals from hundreds of meters away! We had the privilege of seeing leopards, lion cubs, thousands of elephants and buffaloes and FOUR (!!!!!) rhinos. However, my favorite was experiencing the "poopcopters" of the hippos 😉Our African adventure became even more thrilling after a heavy rain turned the roads into rivers of mud. Silas skillfully navigated us out of tricky situations, and despite getting stuck twice, he was quick to get us back on track. In fact, in the act, we also helped two other jeeps stuck in the mud, which led to new friendships between all the passengers.Finally, we had the chance to visit a school project near Arusha, funded by the Luwai Foundation. It was inspiring to see how Luwai Tanzania Safaris not only provides exceptional safari experiences but also gives back to the local community and contributes to a better future for the children. An Unforgettable Safari with Luwai Safari in Tanzania: Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Serengeti
Our safari in Tanzania with Luwai Safari was simply a dream come true. From the moment we arrived, to the farewell, everything was perfectly organized. We visited three of the most beautiful natural parks in Africa: Tarangire, the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti. Each park had its own charm, but what really made this trip special was our amazing safari guide, Silas.Tarangire National Park was our first stop, and it did not disappoint. The park is famous for its impressive baobab trees and large herds of elephants. We soon spotted a huge elephant close to our jeep, which was a breathtaking moment. It was impressive to watch these majestic animals move so peacefully through the park, while we also encountered giraffes, zebras and impalas. Tarangire has the perfect balance between a peaceful atmosphere and plenty of wildlife.From Tarangire we went on to Ngorongoro Crater, and what a wonder! The crater feels like a world unto itself, a vast, green valley full of life. Here we had the chance to see the famous “Big Five” in their natural habitat. Lions rested in the grass, elephants roamed majestically across the landscape and we even saw a group of rhinos, something that doesn't happen often. What makes the crater so special is the high concentration of wildlife in a relatively small area, allowing you to spot many different species in a single day.The crowning glory of the trip was the Serengeti, which absolutely stole the show. It is difficult to describe in words how breathtaking the Serengeti is. The vast plains, rich animal life and the magic of sunset made this the highlight of our safari. Silas, our guide, not only had a keen eye for finding animals, but also knew exactly what we were seeing and why it was so important to the ecosystem. We were lucky enough to see a cheetah and saw the huge herds of wildebeest that crossed the Serengeti.What made our experience even more special was Silas.His extensive knowledge of African wildlife, his passion for conservation and his patience with us travelers were extraordinary. He understood the interests of each traveler and knew how to make us get the most out of our safari. He not only pointed out animals, but told fascinating stories about their behavior and their role in the ecosystem. His enthusiasm was contagious, and it felt like we were traveling with a true expert.Luwai Safari's logistics were also excellent. All accommodations were comfortable, well located and made for a great experience. From the tented camps in Serengeti to the lodges at Tarangire, we were always given a warm welcome. 5 Day Safari
Thanks to Luwai Tanzania Safari’s Limited, I had an unforgettable 5-day experience on our Tanzania safari exploring the extraordinary parks of Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti. Each park has offered breathtaking scenery and an incredible abundance of wildlife: majestic elephant herds in Tarangire, the crater of Ngorongoro, a true terrestrial paradise, and the vast plains of Serengeti where we had the chance to observe a great diversity of wildlife A huge thank you to our guide, Silas Nassary, whose in-depth knowledge, professionalism and enthusiasm made this trip an even more rewarding experience. Silas has been able to spot incredible animals that we would never have seen alone, while sharing fascinating anecdotes about local fauna, flora and culture. Better than any other safari! 10/10
The safari trip with Park Ranger Silas from Luwaii Foundation was an incredible experience. Tarangere Park was packed with beautiful Elephants and extraordinary Baobab trees, Ngorongoro offered us the experience of seeing several Rhino's, and the migrations in the Serengetti were a phenomenal thing to witness. Thanks to Luwaii foundations and ranger, Silas, our safari trip wasn't just great, it was exceptional and adventurous. Luwaii foundation helps African school children in need by rebuilding their school with the money you spend on this wonderful safari trip. And you get a unique and sunny vacation in return. Win-win! On your vacation, you'll get to see places that only Silas knows in the parks. He will spot a rare animal for kilometers far, for which I think he is extraordinary skilled and talented in his job. Best first Safari🐆🐆🐆
We had an unforgettable 3-day safari tour with a visit to our guide's village and a special celebration for his baby. He was always punctual, reliable and incredibly friendly. We were particularly impressed by how he responded to all of our wishes. The accommodations he chose for us were beautiful, clean and of high quality. The most fantastic time
I travel a lot and spend a significant amount of time on the road, so I can say with full conviction that Silas and his team do an incredible job. Not only do they cater to individual wishes, but they also provide a tailor-made experience far from mass tourism. The itinerary was incredibly well-coordinated, the food was great, and the accommodations were perfectly fitting. It was an amazing round trip. We saw so much, experienced a lot, and had a very special time. I can only recommend it wholeheartedly, and we will definitely return with the children and stay longer.The experiences, particularly encountering the animals, were absolutely breathtaking. The depth of background information and knowledge we received, thanks to the outstanding guide, made the journey truly unforgettable. LUWAI Tanzania is your best choice to explore National Parks in Northern Tanzania. Highly recommended!
We visited the Tarangire and Ngorongoro National Parks with LUWAI Tanzania in August 2024 over 4 consecutive days and it was an absolutely flawless, unforgettable trip for my mother, my two sons (aged 9 and 11) and myself. Silas organised a French-speaking guide named Omary who was the kindest and best driver ever, looking after everyone the best he could and making sure the trip was a total success. Words can’t describe how grateful we are to Silas for making this trip happen. If you ever want to visit these and other beautiful national parks in N-Tanzania, look no further! Book your trip with LUWAI Tanzania, it will be the adventure of a lifetime for you and your family and friends. Great safari to Tarangire and Ngorogoro
Silas was an excellent driver and guide, and we had a great two day visit to Tarangire and Ngorogoro. We started early in Arusha, stopped for excellent coffee at Lion's Cafe and Bakery, and made it to Tarangire park gate about 9:30 am. Silas had got the entrance taken care of the night before, so we were through the gate in five minutes. Excellent day in the park, seeing lots of elephants, giraffe, vervet monkeys, warthogs, and lots more! Highlight was getting to a pool just as a small elephant herd arrived, and the "teens" started playing in the water. We were looking especially as baobab trees, and of course in Tarangire you will not be disappointed- hundreds just in a few hours, all shapes, sizes, bark stripped, young, fruiting (!), paratisized by ficus, etc... was great. We drove to Karatu and spent the night in an Airbnb, and then next morning went up (and then down) to Ngorogoro. What an experience! The crater/caldera is indeed one of the wonders of the world. Silas was excellent as guide, knowing just where to go for good viewing, and filled with interesting information about the animals and ecology. All in all a great two days. Highly recommend Luwai Tanzania Safaris. By the way, we had two vegetarians in the group, so both lunches were basically vegetarian, and were excellent.

Our safari trip was nothing short of extraordinary and that is in large part due to our incredible guide Silas (partner/owner of Luwai Tanzania Safari). He has an enormous knowledge of wildlife, an incredible eagle eye and a huge passion for his beautiful country. These skills are complemented by a nice smile and a good heart. Silas not only wants to give his guests an unforgettable trip, he also supports the school where he grew up and helps them rebuild the miserable accommodation they have (Luwai Foundation). You can safely rely on this cheerful Tanzanian and therefore you do not necessarily have to work with a European organization that often works with subcontractors. Your dream holiday, their future. Wonderful wildlife experience with a top Safari guide!
We had a truly fantastic Safari time with our top driver/ranger Silas. With his outstanding knowledge, his capacity to spot the right places for wildlife, his excellent driving skills (a must for the challenging roads:)) and his ever good laughter, Silas guided us through the beautiful landscapes of Tanzania. He took us into the wonderful world of native wildlife, but also gave us a lot of insights into the Tanzanian culture. After the intense game drives, beautiful lodges always awaited us where we could unwind and enjoy a delicious dinner. Africa at its best! We will cherish this trip for a long time.
