Day 1  KIA – Masaai land

Our guide will pick you up at the airport ; 2.5 hours journey through untouched wild Maasai area  to your accommodation.

When riding through Maasai land, you will have a chance to meet Maasai people and visit their villages. The Maasai are known for their distinctive red clothing, beadwork, and jewelry, which are all handmade using traditional methods. You will be able to learn about their customs and traditions, including their herding practices and their spiritual beliefs.

Overnight at Masai lodge
Here you will experience Tanzania up close amidst the Maasai. The endless expanse of African steppe all around offer a unique experience.

There are 16 earth houses, which stand in different places in a replicated Maasai village. Each bungalow is powered by solar energy and offers European standard, a toilet and shower with hot water.

DAY 2. Masaai Lodge

Accompanied by a Maasai shaman, you get the chance to explore the area on an early morning walk. Get to know the ancient Maasai culture and learn more about medicinal herbs from your guide. You get to pick them yourself and back at the lodge you make your own medicinal tea with them.  It will be a very special tea time, both for you and for the Maasai.

“Your dream holiday, Their Future” represents the experiences guests gain during our afternoon excursion and through which the local population can be better and sustainably supported. These excursions to the Sinai Primary school project and Africa Amini Life’s hospital and orphanage directly benefit the social, medical and educational projects supported by Luwai.

In the evening, the lodge hosts a spear throwing competition, the Maasai dance and you learn more about the Masaai around a cosy campfire.

Day 3. Masaai Lodge – Tarangiri National Park

After breakfast, we say goodbye to the Masaai and drive (3h30) on good roads to Tarangire National park . After registration at the Main Gate, we enjoy a lunch picnic.

After lunch we start our game drive. The park is home to one of Africa’s largest elephant populations, with several herds of up to 300 members per herd. There are also large numbers of impala, eland, buffalo, giraffe, Bohor reedbuck, Coke’s hartebeest, Thompson’s gazelle and the great and lesser kudu. Some black rhinos are also said to be present in this park.

We have dinner & stay overnight at the Kuro Tarangire-Nomad Tanzania.

Tarangire is big and bold: this camp is the opposite a little gem.

Full of heart and soul, and tucked away in a grove secluded along the river, it is so at one with nature that animals barely look up as they do their thing around us.

Elephants often walk right through the camp, and we can fully immerse ourselves in their secret lives from the comfort of the sunlit living quarters.

Tarangire National Park is also home to more than 500 bird species, making it a popular destination for birdwatchers.

We return to the lodge where you can rest and enjoy the beautiful surroundings after an invigorating lunch.

A new world of nocturnal animals awaits you on an exclusive night game drive excursion in Tarangire National Park. Now you can see animals, some of which are rare and inactive during the day. Leopards are easily spotted . But also other animals like lions, roaming elephants, porcupines, Genet, and civet cats.

DAY 5. Tarangiri National Park – Lake Manyara

After breakfast we drive towards the South Gate along the Tarangire River, which runs through the park and is a vital source of water for the animals. The river attracts large numbers of elephants, as well as other wildlife, especially during the dry season from June to October. During this time, you may see hundreds of elephants.

After a picknick lunch we arrive at Lake Manyara.

Lake Manyara National park is famous for tree climbing lions seen up on the acacia and sausage trees in the park. Lake Manyara National Park is also famous for the large flocks of pink flamingos which fill the alkaline lake.

We drive slowly to the lodge, the Ngorogoro Farm House, where you enjoy the view and cool down at the swimming pool

At this colonial-style coffee plantation farm, you will experience the legendary atmosphere of yesteryear. Ngorongoro Farm House has 52 large, luxurious colonial-style rooms.

The spacious verandas offer stunning views of the valley below.

The restaurant serves buffet-style international dishes, with occasional evening entertainment in the form of music.

Ngorongoro is a Tanzanian must-see. The Ngorongoro Crater, a caldera or collapsed volcano, while only covering 260 km², includes a diverse range of habitats including montane forest, grasslands, acacia forests, a salt-lake and swamps. The diversity of the habitat provides refuge to an incredibly wide range of birds and animals, including the Big Five, in a concentrated area.

We will stop for a picknick lunch with view on the hippo’s in the lake.

After the lunch we drive through the crater towards the central Serengeti.

We overnight at Safari and Sound of Silence Lodge.

This luxury tented camp is a private, intimate affair between you and the raw power of the Serengeti.

Almost every night, herds of antelope and zebra enter the camp for safety while they rest.

The 50m2 tents are very, very comfortable. Linens, duvets and mattresses are only of the best, ensuring your sleeping comfort. The tents have hot and cold water from the tap, 24-hour electricity from the solar plant, and permanent WIFI to share your photos of the day.
